Coia was born in Mesa, AZ, but grew up mostly in Rome, NY. She got her B.A. in Chemistry-SIM in 2018 at Keuka College in Penn Yan, NY. She joined the lab in Fall of 2019 and is working on elucidating mechanisms. This includes end group modifications of polymers synthesized through RAFT, and monomer insertion of low strained cyclopentenes to Grubbs catalysts.

In her free time she enjoys art, music, and athletics. Her favorite past time however, is spending time with friends.
